WASHINGTON, D.C. May 1, 2014—The Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission will host two events, “Hobby Lobby and the Future of Religious Liberty” and “Questions and Ethics Live” on June 9-10 at the 2014 annual meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) in Baltimore, Md.

The “Hobby Lobby and the Future of Religious Liberty” panel discussion will be held on June 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET at the Baltimore Hilton in the Holiday Ballroom 4/5 & Corridor on Level 2.

Confirmed panelists for “Hobby Lobby and the Future of Religious Liberty” include:

Russell D. Moore, President, Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention
Rick Warren, Pastor, Saddleback Church and author of “The Purpose Driven Life”
Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, President, National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference
David Platt, Author, “Radical” and pastor of The Church at Brook Hills

Media are welcome to attend and space is limited. Attendees may register for the religious liberty panel online.

The ERLC will also host a “Questions & Ethics Live” event with Moore and Matt Chandler, pastor of The Village Church, June 10 at 5 p.m. ET. Moore and Chandler will take questions submitted by the audience on issues related to theology, ministry and culture.

This event will take place in the Baltimore Hilton in the Holiday Ballroom 1/2/3 on Level 2. Media are also welcome to attend this event. Attendees should register for this event online, as well. Space is limited.

“With each passing day, Christians are confronted with an increasingly secular society — seeking to silence all of those who do not sing from the hymnbook of sexual revolution,” said Moore. “We’ll plan to address these issues this June at the annual meeting of the SBC, and I invite all to come to these events to think through how we can engage the culture with a gospel focus and a gospel answer.”
